Draft for review. This is starter wording prepared for the DJBookr beta. Please review it — and have a lawyer check it — and replace the contact details before a wider launch.

Who we are

DJBookr (“we”, “us”) runs a marketplace where DJs publish a public profile and receive booking requests, and where clients search for DJs and send those requests. This policy explains what we collect and why.

Information we collect

  • DJ accounts: email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), display name, and everything you choose to put on your public profile — stage name, city, service area, bio, genres, event types, packages and pricing, media links and social links.
  • Booking requests: the name, email, phone number, event date and time, venue, city, event type, guest count, requested package, budget and message a client submits. This is shared with the DJ the request is addressed to.
  • Early-access requests: name, email, city, genres, an optional link and what you need from the platform.
  • Technical information: limited request data used to prevent spam and abuse, such as a short-lived signature derived from your connection, and error reports that help us fix crashes.

How we use it

To create and secure your account, publish your public profile, deliver booking requests to the right DJ, show you your own inquiries and bookings, protect the platform against spam and automated abuse, and send you service messages about your account. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

What is public

Only a DJ profile you choose to publish is public, along with its packages, prices, media links and any reviews that have been approved. Client booking requests, your inquiries, bookings, clients and revenue figures are private to your account.

Cookies and local storage

We use a small amount of browser storage to keep you signed in and to remember interface preferences. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

Email

We send account emails such as sign-in confirmation, password resets, and notifications about new booking requests. Marketing emails, if we ever send them, will always include an unsubscribe link.

Service providers

We rely on hosting, database and authentication providers to run the platform, and on an email provider to deliver messages. They process information on our behalf under their own security commitments.

Payments

DJBookr does not currently process payments. Deposit and payment figures in the DJ dashboard are for record-keeping only, and no card details are collected or stored.

Keeping information and deleting it

We keep account and booking information for as long as your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and its data at any time and we will do so, except where we must keep records for legal reasons.

Your choices

You can view and edit your profile at any time from your dashboard, unpublish it so it no longer appears publicly, or request a copy or deletion of your data by contacting us.

Children

DJBookr is intended for people aged 18 and over and is not directed at children.
